How to Connect the Monitor to the Dell tower?



Into one of you ports on the back of your tower plug in your monitor or TV. Mostly on modern computers we use HDMI Or DVI ports, but with some older versions you may have to connect with VGA.
The monitor needs to be plugged into a power Outlet. And incase you have a dedicated graphic card then you need to ensure that it connects to the graphic card and just not the monitor, if not then you will not be able to take the advantage of your graphic card. You will find the graphic card port on the lower back of your tower.

  • ·        Place your CPU tower near your Monitor or TV.
  • ·       Connect your monitor with the tower with the given HDMI cable.
  • ·       Plug in Mouse and Keyboard with the USB or a PS/2 cable according to the connectors given.
  • ·       Connect any speakers at the back of your tower using the color codes as guides.
  • ·       Plug tower to a power source. (Recommended: Plug it to a UPS for an uninterrupted power supply)
  • ·       Press the Power button to turn the computer on.
  • ·       Install windows.
  • ·       Connect to a network i.e. wireless or Ethernet depending on your tower features.
  • ·       Download updates which would show under windows update in control panel.
  • ·       Depending on your requirements download all the essential applications, such as Microsoft Office, Games, browsers such as chrome or Firefox.
